Recently I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with photographer Ann Delamarre and a bunch of lovely french wedding suppliers for a styled wedding shoot in the picturesque coastal town of Gruissan, France. With its stunning views and laid-back atmosphere, this location was the perfect backdrop for our vibrant, beachy concept!
A Vision of Fun and Relaxation
When Ann approached me with her vision for the shoot, I was immediately inspired by the bright and lively color scheme from her mood board. We wanted to capture a fun, carefree vibe that felt right at home on the beach.
Designing the Stationery
To bring this vision to life, I created a custom stationery suite that perfectly complemented the beach theme. The highlight was a wavy-edged save-the-date card, designed to mimic the gentle curves of ocean waves. I paired the fun wavy shapes with a modern checkerboard print that I used throughout the designs to tie everything together.
I used a modern typeface along with fun beachand surf inspired graphics to capture the laid back casual surf vibes. The pink envelopes also feature a personalised checkerboard envelope liner.
Matching Insert Cards: To complement the save-the-date, I designed two matching insert cards that provided details for guests. Each piece featured playful typography and coordinating colors that captured the essence of our beach setting.
Place Settings: One of my favorite elements was the place settings. I opted for a checkerboard place mat that added a fun, retro touch, perfectly in line with our casual vibe. Each guest’s name was displayed on a motel fob place card, complete with coordinating tassels for that added pop of color. And how could I forget the surfboard-shaped menu cards? They were a playful nod to the beach and added a unique twist to the table setting.
Adding Personal Touches
To make the experience even more special, I designed personalized beer bottle labels featuring the couple's custom wedding logo. These little details were a fun nod to the beach atmosphere and added a personal touch that guests would love.
I’m so grateful to Ann Delamarre for the opportunity to be part of this creative endeavor. The result is a collection of images that perfectly encapsulates the fun and vibrant energy we set out to achieve.
